You must takeout upstream of the Colorado Avenue Bridge. The dam structure below the bridge is a death trap. The current picks up and draws you to the dam as you pass under the bridge. Be safe and get over early. |

Put in: Farewell Bend Park is on Reed Market Road near the Bill Healy Bridge just upstream of the Old Mill District.
Take out: You can use one of two public access points. One is on river left just above the Colorado Avenue Bridge and the other is on river right about 200 yards upstream of the bridge.
Note: During the summer months the city of Bend runs a free shuttle for all tubers on this section.
