This run consists of mostly class II with a few class III/IV rapids in between. The first 2.5 miles you can relax through the easy class II canyon. The first class III rapid starts right at mile 2.5. Scout this first class III rapid because most of the water leads into a boulder in the center of the river.
Mile 3.6: At this point you will hit a class IV river wide ledge drop. Scout this drop from river right.
Mile 4.7(Town of Tiller): The town of Tiller marks the half way point when you pass underneath the route 227 bridge.
Mile 7.2: After a few miles of class II you will find yourself at the last class III rapid on the run. The river takes a sharp left turn, most of the water piles up on a rock on river right and creates a strong boily eddy. Scout this rapid on your first time down.
Mile 8.5(Take Out): Take out about 1 mile below the last class III on river right. |
