Difficulty:  Class IV + , Class V Technical, Continuous , Portage
Gradient:  221 fpm
Run Length:  2.4 miles
Current Streamflow:  1960 cfs @ 05/26/2012 01:15 PM - ROW RIVER ABOVE PITCHER CREEK, NEAR DORENA, OR, reading taken from USGS
Good Level:  250 - 600 cfs
Streamflow Comments: 

No gauge for this creek exists. A flow of 2,200 cfs on the Row River above Dorena Lake indicates that Brice Creek should have adequate flows.

Season Comments:  January, February, March, April, May, October, November, December
Primary Season:  Rainy and snowmelt, this section only runs after a few days of heavy rainfall, or a few 90 degree days in late spring.
Permit:  None Presently Required
Character/Similar To:  Deep forested canyon with many difficult boulder gardens and ledge drops.
Hazards:  This section of creek is very demanding. There are many class IV/V drops with no pools to seperate them. Wood is always present, because of would there will most likely be a few portages. At flows above 400 cfs eddies are few and far between. Take extreme caution on this creek.
Water Craft:  kayak,wwcan
Land Ownership:  Public forest, possible private logging roads.
Wilderness:  Yes
Location:  In the Pacific Region (OR), 103 miles (2 hours 1 minute) South of Salem
Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: From I-5 take exit 174 near Cottage Grove, follow Row River Road east towards Disston. In Disston take Brice Creek Road upriver about 8 miles to Champion Creek Road and a bridge crossing the creek, the take out is under the bridge.

Put In: Continue upriver for 2.4 miles to the next bridge, put in below the bridge.
