Put In: From I-5 take the Brownsville exit, between Albany and Eugene, and travel east on Oregon 228. Just past Crawfordsville turn south onto Brush Creek Road. Follow this road for about 8 miles until you reach the Mohawk River Road intersection. Turn east and follow this road to until you reach a locked gate, put in here.
Take Out: Return to Brush Creek Road and head south. Take out under the bridge on Hileman Road. |

The first mile of this run contains the hardest whitewater on the section. Look for a few ledges, one ledge being a class III-, 4 foot drop. Below this is another 5 foot slide into a calm pool. For the rest of the run expect continuous class II with the possibility of strainers. Scout around each corner of this run because this is a logging area and wood is constantly changing in the river.
At mile 5 there is a river wide log that creates a 2 foot ledge drop. Approach this ledge drop with caution and always scout for new wood. |
