Put In:  Above Gregg Creek
Take Out:  Galena Creek
Difficulty:  Class IV + , Class V + Pool Drop , Portage Double Dip
Gradient:  120 fpm
Run Length:  6 miles
Current Streamflow:  830 cfs @ 12/14/2016 09:15 AM - QUARTZVILLE CREEK NEAR CASCADIA, OR, reading taken from USGS
Good Level:  700 - 2,000 cfs
Season Comments:  January, February, March, April, May, October, November, December
Primary Season:  Rainy and snowmelt seasons, this section only runs after a few days of heavy rain, or a few days of very warm weather
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Fun challenging class IV+/V drops with clear water in an old growth forest
Hazards:  Portage Double Dip on river left. There are many drops with large consequences.

Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: In Albany off I-5 take US 20 east towards Sweet Home. Just past Sweet Home turn left onto Quartzville Road (NF 11) and continue down this road for 25.8 miles to the Galena Creek Bridge, the take out.

Put In: To reach the put in from the take out continue up river on Quartzville Road. Put in 31 miles from US 20 just before you cross the bridge.
