Put In:  Galena Creek
Take Out:  Green Peter Lake
Difficulty:  Class IV , Class V Pool Drop
Gradient:  65 fpm
Run Length:  10 miles
Current Streamflow:  830 cfs @ 12/14/2016 09:15 AM - QUARTZVILLE CREEK NEAR CASCADIA, OR, reading taken from USGS
Good Level:  800 - 3,000 cfs; 8,000 cfs
Season Comments:  January, February, March, April, October, November, December
Primary Season:  Rainy and snowmelt seasons, this section only runs after a few days of heavy rain, or a few days of very warm weather
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Similar to the upper run but a little bit easier.
Hazards:  Many class IV ledges with sticky hydraulics, these hydraulics get more sticky with more water. Scout drops for wood.

Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: In Albany off I-5 take US 20 east towards Sweet Home. Just past Sweet Home turn left onto Quartzville Road (NF 11) and continue 16.5 miles to the first parking area at the end of the lake.

Put In: From the take out continue up river on this road for 9.3 miles to the Galena Creek Bridge, the put in.
