This creek falls from the mountain with pool drop character in a steep river valley. |
| Hazards: |
Three class IV ledge drops should be scouted and can usually be portaged on river left. At mile 2.5 there is a log jam that usually blocks the flow of the river and is often a mandatory portage. This creek flows through a large logging area always scout each drop for wood. |

| Shuttle Logistics: |
Take Out: From Albany take US 20 east and then turn onto Oregon 226 east. Continue on Oregon 226 until the town of Scio. From Scio continue east on Oregon 226, just outside of Scio take a right onto Thomas Creek Road and follow for 6.9 miles to the take out at a side road bridge.
Put In: From the take out continue up river veering right at all other roads. Go straight at the intersection 3.9 miles from the take out. Take a right at the next intersection, 4 miles from the take out. Put in at one of the side roads 6 to 7 miles above the take out. |
