Good introduction creek, lots of pool drop rapids and ledges in a forested canyon. Great place for beginner kayakers to get used to creek boating. |
| Hazards: |
First 100 yards of Winberry Creek contains many logs for fish habitat, be very careful in this area. Bridge Over Troubled Water is a class V drop that has been run but it contains a bad pin spot. This drop has a definite horizon line, portage this drop on the river left. |

| Shuttle Logistics: |
Take Out: From I-5 take OR 58 east towards Dexter and Lookout Point Lake. At the covered bridge turn left and head north toward Unity. In Unity turn right onto West Boundary Creek Road, in .5 miles turn right onto Winberry Creek Road. Continue for 5.5 miles to the take out underneath the first bridge over the creek.
Put In: From the take out upriver on Winberry Creek Road for another 5.6 miles to Winberry Campground. |
