Flows are very regulated by Wickiup Reservoir. From mid-April to mid-October the Deschutes River will be at summer time flows which can vary between 1,500-2,000. Winter time flows will be between 450-900.

Take-out: From US 97, about 2 miles north of La Pine, Oregon, turn west onto Forest Road 43(located at a sign to the Wickiup Reservoir). Continue on Forest Road 43 over the bridge spanning the Deschutes and take your first left after the bridge, Forest Road 4370. This road leads to Wyeth campground and take-out.
Put-in: Return to Forest Road 43 and turn left. Continue on NF 43 for about 2.5 miles and turn left on Forest Road 4380 (Wickiup Road) and continue to the reservoir levee. Turn left here and continue along the levee to the put in. There is a locked gate that will require a 200 yard carry to the river. The access is public.
