Put In:  Route 28 Bridge
Take Out:  Earls Ford
Difficulty:  Class II , Class III
Gradient:  25 ft/mi
Run Length:  7 miles
Good Level:  300-2,000 cfs
Season Comments:  March, April, May, June, July
Permit:  Self registration at the put-in.
Hazards:  Long Bottom Bridge.
Water Craft:  kayak,wwcan,raft
Land Ownership:  Mixed
Wilderness:  No
Camping on River:  Established campsites available; several restrictions apply.
Location:  In the Southeastern U.S. (SC), 162 miles Northwest of Columbia
Shuttle Logistics:  Put-in: Located at the South Carolina-Georgia Highway 28 bridge.

Take-out: From Mountain Rest, South Carolina, on Hwy 28, head southwest on Rt. 258 (which becomes Rt. 196) to the first 4-way intersection and bear right to the end of the pavement and beyond on graded road to the river and Earls Ford. There is a 1,400 ft carry from the river to the parking area.
