This section of river contains many tall ledge drops, the tallest being Big Brother at 25 feet, and many challenging boulder gardens through tight gorges. First timers on this run will be scouting frequently. This is a classic summer time run when all other Washington steep creeks have dried up. |
| Hazards: |
Many demanding class V drops with heavy consequences. Scout most every horizon line on the first run down. Also scout Zig-Zag canyon, the most difficult boulder garden rapid on the run. |

| Shuttle Logistics: |
Take Out: From White Salmon take Highway 141 north to BZ Corner. The take out is in a well marked river access area. This parking area requires a user fee.
Put In: From the take out drive 4.7 miles north on Highway 141 and turn right onto a small dirt road. Put in at the first bridge, bring rope to line boats to river level.
