Put In:  FR 9039
Take Out:  Swift Reservoir
Difficulty:  Class II to III @ 700 - 2,000 cfs , Class III @ 2,000 - 3,000 cfs
Gradient:  26 fpm
Run Length:  4.5 miles
Good Level:  700 - 3,000 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  There is no gauge for this river. If the East Fork Lewis is running there is a good chance this will be running
Season Comments:  January, February, March, April, November, December
Primary Season:  This river only runs during the rainy season, usually after a few days of heavy rain
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  This run starts off with fun class II boulder gardens through a very scenic forested canyon. As the you float down river the scenery turns grim. The take out is in a reservoir surrounded by clear cuts.

Location:  In the Pacific Region (WA), 173 miles (3 hours 10 minutes) South of Seattle
Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: From the town of Cougar drive east on Highway 503 for 18.5 miles to the Mt. St. Helens Visitor Center. Just past the visitor center turn right onto Forest Road 90. In .25 miles you will arrive at Eagle Cliffs Bridge, the take out.

Put In: From the take out drive up river on Forest Road 90 for 4.6 miles and turn left onto Forest Road 9039. The put in is at the bridge a short distance down this road.
