Then go two blocks and turn left onto Ballarat Avenue, follow this through the residential part of town. Continue on this road for a while until it changes to North Fork Road. After following this road for 3.9 miles you will arrive at a fork in the road, take the left fork. In 1.3 miles the road makes a sharp right; if the gate is open continue down the road. In .5 miles take the left fork and in .8 miles take the right fork. From here continue straight as far as you can until you reach a large clearing, make sure and hike to river level to mark the take out.
If the gate is closed you will have to use the alternate take out further upstream. To reach the upper take out continue down North Fork Road for another 2.4 miles to a large intersection. Take the road that cuts to the right, this road will also be gated but it is only a 1.5 miles hike to the take out bridge.
