Streamflow Comments: 

There is no gauge for this creek. If the Clackamas River above Three Lynx Creek gauge reads 3,000 to 4,500 cfs there is usually enough water in this creek.

Season Comments:  January, February, March, November, December
Primary Season: 

This creek usually runs after a few days of heavy rain.

Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Small technical class III to IV+ rapids in a tight riverbed. This run starts as mellow class III and nears class V before the Wind River is reached. Connect this run with a quick trip down the Lower Wind.
Hazards:  Possible logs, usually a portage around Shipherds Falls is required
Water Craft:  kayak,wwcan
Land Ownership:  Mixed private and public
Wilderness:  No
Camping on River:  Panther Creek Campground at the put in.
Location:  In the Pacific Region (WA), 215 miles (3 hours 42 minutes) Southeast of Seattle
Shuttle Logistics: 

Put In: From Carson take Wind River Road north, turn right onto Old State Road then take an immediate left onto Panther Creek Road. Continue for 3.2 miles; go past Panther Creek Campground until the road drops to river level, put in there.

Take Out: Take out either at Bear Creek Road off of Wind River Road on the way to the put in or you can take out at the take out for the Lower Wind River.
