Permit:  None required.
Character/Similar To:  Big, powerful, continuous class IV to V+ through a steep-walled gorge. Scout before running.
Hazards:  Mandatory portage at a dangerous dam, entire run at higher flows.

Land Ownership:  Mixed public and private.
Wilderness:  No

Location:  In the Pacific Region (WA), 85 miles East of Seattle
Shuttle Logistics:  Put In:Tumwater Campground is located on the right bank where US 2 crosses the Wenatchee at the head of Tumwater Canyon.

Take Out: Take US 2 to the town of Leavenworth. Turn southwest on East Leavenworth Road just east of the bridge over the Wenatchee. Continue for about a half a mile and bear right as the road bends to the left. This short dirt road leads to the Fisherman's Wenatchee River Access and Boat Ramp on the right bank.
