Permit:  None presently required.
Character/Similar To:  Class II-III rapids begin as the river flows into the canyon and continue to the take-out. Numerous large boulders in the streambed require considerable manuevering and there is plenty of opportunity to eddy and play.

Location:  In the Mid-Atlantic (WV), 64 miles Southeast of Charleston
Shuttle Logistics:  Put-in: About 2 miles downstream of Nallen, West Virginia, along WV 41.

Take-out: From the put-in, drive 2 miles north on WV 41 to the Mount Lookout Road and take a left. Continue for 2 miles to US 19, bear left to the bridge. At least two roads lead down to the river, which at times may be impassable.
