Character/Similar To:  The North Platte is a shallow, muddy river and this particular section of the river provides some of the finest wilderness boating in the Colorado/Wyoming Rocky Mountain region with challenging class III rapids.

Location:  In the Rocky Mtn Region (CO,WY), 106 miles Northwest of Denver
Shuttle Logistics: 

Put-in: Head east off of Colorado Hwy 125 about a mile northwest of the bridge over the North Platte River, about 5 miles south of the CO/WY border, and follow the road one half mile to the river.

Take-out: Take Wyoming Hwy 230 north 4 miles past the state line and turn east on Road 492; two miles to Sixmile Gap Campground.
