| Shuttle Logistics: |
Take-out: To reach the take-out travel Northeast from Bakersfield on Hwy 178 about 40 miles to the town of Lake Isabella. Turn left on Hwy 155 to Wofford Heights and continue four more miles to Kernville. Turn right at
the Texaco station on Kern River Drive. Riverside Park is on the right.
Put-in: To reach the put-in continue on Kern River Drive and turn right on Kern River Road. Turn left on Sierra Way and continue 2.4 miles upstream to the Powerhouse. It is recognizable by two large tubes descending from the hillside on the right side of the road. Just downstream from the powerhouse
a short paved road leads to the river.
