| Shuttle Logistics: |
Put-in: From Banks, Idaho, take Hwy 21 east about 25 miles to USFS 555 (Also known as Scott Mountain Road), some 6.5 miles west of the Deadwood-South Fork confluence. Turn north and slowly wind your way a little over 25 miles to Deadwood Reservoir. Put in where the road crosses the river below the dam.
Take-out: Turn north at the confluence onto unpaved Deadwood River Road (USFS 024GB), marked "Julie Creek Trail," and drive some 10 miles up the west side of the Deadwood Canyon. |
