Steep mountain river with boulder choked rapids. At low water the river is rocky, technical and mostly class IV. At high flows the whitewater is huge and nearly continuous. An excellent mix of whitewater, scenery and seclusion. |

| Shuttle Logistics: |
Put-in: From McCall, go east on Lick Creek Road 34 miles to the Secesh-South Fork confluence. Turn left and drive to the end of the road.
Take-out: Return to McCall and drive north about 46 miles on Hwy 55 and US 95 to Riggins. The take-out is east of Riggins, up the Salmon about 26 miles to Vinegar Creek. |
