The gauge is actually in North Creek which is about 5 miles below the takeout.
The dam releases for about two hours each morning and you will need to ride the bubble. If you don't you will be stranded. |

| Shuttle Logistics: |
Put In: Turn north off Route 28 onto Chain Lakes Road east of the town of Indian Lake. Continue for approximately 2.5 miles to the parking lot and boat ramp. Those interested in running class V- Otter Slide Rapid put in directly below Lake Abanakee dam upstream of the designated put in.
Take Out: 13th Lake Brook bridge on Route 28 in North River or continue about .5 mile downstream to the monument picnic area on Rt.28 in North River. |
