Rapids change radically with the flow. At low water steep, sharp drops and narrow, rocky passages are separated by short pools with some play. At high flows there are big waves, hydraulics and boiling eddy-lines. |

| Shuttle Logistics: |
Put-in: To reach the put-in, follow I-70 to the Westwater Exit (exit 225) near the Colorado/Utah Border. Continue south for approximately 9 miles to the Ranger Station.
Take-out: Return to I-70 and drive west. Exit at Cisco (exit 212). Drive to the southeast corner of town and follow the unpaved pumphouse road southeast for about 3 miles to a Y. Bear left and drive another 2 miles to the Cisco Landing boat ramp. To reach the alternate take-out at Fish Ford bear right at the Y.
Note: a bike shuttle can also be run via the Kokopelli Trail. Ask for details at the Westwater Ranger Station.
Estimated Shuttle Time: 40 minutes one way. |
