| Shuttle Logistics: |
Take-Out: Take US 2 to the village of Coles Corner located about 16 miles north of the town of Leavenworth. At Coles Corner north onto Washington Highway 207 and continue for about 3.6 miles and turn right onto Washington Highway 209. Follow Highway 209 about 4.5 miles to the bridge over the Wenatchee and take out on the left bank just above it.
Put-In: From the take-out, return to WA Hwy 207 turn right and continue another half mile north to the Wenatchee River Bridge. Just beyond the bridge bear right onto Chiwawa Loop Road and follow it for 1.5 miles then turn left onto Chiwawa River Road; also USFS Road 62. Take this road for another 4 miles to the bridge over the Chiwawa River. Cross the river and drive about a half a mile keeping left on USFS Road 62 at the intersection. Continue driving for another 4.5 upstream to the Grouse Creek Group Campground. One-tenth of a mile beyond the turnoff to the campground turn left onto a dirt road. At the first fork in the road keep right and proceed about a quarter mile to the put-in on the left bank. |
