Put-in: Turn off of US 19 onto WV 16 South and drive through the town of Fayetteville. On the edge of town turn left onto Gatewood Road. There is also a sign for Cunard here, which is 7 miles away. Continue to follow the signs to Cunard. Specifically, turn left 5 miles down the road. Where the road splits in Cunard, go left over a bridge. Follow this road to the put-in.
Take-out: Turn east off of US 19 at the visitor center sign just north of the New River Bridge. You are now on WV 82 which turns into a one-way road. Stay on this road and follow the winding road to the take-out. The one way road will come out on the west side of US 19. Turn right to get to Fayetteville or left to Summersville.
One way shuttle time estimate: 35 minutes |
