The first 8 miles are flat but there is a moving current most of the way to "The Rapids," 4 miles of continuous Class III, IV action. High, diagonal ledges, big holes, stoppers and tortuous channels characterize this run. |

Put-in: Reached from US 60 by driving north on Snake Island Road in East Rainelle and continue for 3 miles. Put-in at the city dump, an unpleasant but easy access.
Take-out: Located on Nutterwood Road which can be found off WV 41. |
